Joy of the Week : What’s in my Travel Makeup Bag?

Business AccessoriesI have a secret to tell you, men and women, we are different. Shocked? No, I’m sure you’re not. I am a business professional, I am also a woman.

Makeup Bag Must Haves and Tips

I can’t travel as easily as my male counterparts. Why? One word, makeup. As a traveling female and a make-up lover, I always have to have my beauty items with me wherever I go.

I have a huge makeup collection at home, however trying to lug my complete Ulta makeup box through a busy airport is    both inconvenient and unnecessary.

I have narrowed down my must have beauty items to make getting ready on the go easy.By having the following items with me during my travels I am able to always present myself with a professional look and feminine confidence. Helpful to have when you are teaching courses of 20 or more strangers each week.

  1. Covergirl Liquid Concealer – Because no matter how comfortable the hotel bed is or how early I crash, I always wake up with under eye circles! It’s a family curse.
  2. Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation – This cream based foundation is great because the smallest amount can cover my whole face, and it blends well.
  3. Milani Shimmer Blush – I use a light peachy shade that I use sparingly for when I need a little pinking up.
  4. Milani Shimmer Bronzer – This subtle bronzer is honestly not my favorite, but it is compact and easy to transport.
  5. Urban Decay Naked Palette – This amazing eyeshadow palette has a wide range of neutral shades perfect for a professional look. I use it pretty much every day.
  6. Maybelline Eyeliner – this is great for lash and waterline and smudges well.
  7. Loreal Liquid Liner – I swear by this liner, gives a super easy, fast, and accurate cat eye look.
  8. Benefit They’re Real Mascara – The travel tube is the perfect size for a frequent traveler
  9. Revlon ColorBurst Balm Stain in Honey – this balm is moisturizing and long-lasting and the shade is professional.
  10. Real Techniques Brush Set – Great blending brushes that come in a cute little travel case.
  11. Neutrogena Make Up Remover Wipes – Because yesterday’s makeup doesn’t look so good when you’re an instructor.

What can I say, I love my makeup.
