The ITIL® V3 Foundation Course: Three Methods of Delivery at Ashford Global IT

Starting an ITIL® training program can be a daunting process and can also involve a huge time commitment. Ashford Global IT (AGIT) structures their ITIL training courses in a variety of ways to suit your personal needs.

The ITIL V3 Foundation Certification is the first qualification in the ITIL V3 Qualification Scheme. Earning the ITIL Foundation Certificate requires passing a 60-minute examination. This closed-book exam consists of 40 multiple-choice questions. After successfully passing the ITIL Foundation Certification exam, you will be recognized with 2 credits in the ITIL V3 Qualification Scheme and 22 Professional Development Units (PDUs).

To prepare for the ITIL Foundation Certification exam, enroll in an ITIL V3 Foundation course at Ashford Global IT. This course covers the key principles involved in managing and delivering IT services. The ITIL Foundation course introduces you to the ITIL Service Lifecycle and the main processes in each stage. During this course, you will learn the various pathways that exist to becoming qualified as an ITIL Master and the specific disciplines that are available to study within the ITIL Qualification Scheme.

Ashford Global IT recognizes the commitments and sacrifices its students make when they begin the ITIL Certification process. In order to ensure the best and most convenient training for all students, Ashford Global IT offers three methods of delivery for the ITIL Foundation training course.

Traditional Classroom courses are run frequently, at a time and location that is convenient to you. We schedule numerous courses each month across a wide range of towns and cities in the United States. Each course is delivered by an experienced ITIL practitioner. During your three day course, your instructor will illustrate each concept with practical examples from their own experience to help you better relate to the material. The ITIL Foundation Certification exam is given on the last day of training.

Virtual Instructor-Led courses take place in a virtual classroom and allow you to attend the course from anywhere in the world – all you need is a computer and a reliable internet connection. The Virtual Instructor-Led ITIL Foundation course is delivered over five half-day sessions that are presented between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The course material is the same as the traditional classroom course. You will be able to interact with your instructor and fellow students through chat windows. In the Virtual Instructor-Led ITIL Foundation course, you will be issued an exam voucher for the ITIL Foundation Certification exam, but you will need to provide a proctor to oversee the exam on your behalf.

eLearning (Self-Paced) training permits you to study and train for the ITIL Foundation Certification exam at your pace and at your convenience. You will have 20 days to access the material and prepare for the exam. In the Self-Paced ITIL Foundation course, you will attend a Virtual Training Conference at a hotel in Bangkok. The conference is hosted by two ITIL Experts who will explain the fundamental concepts of ITIL and use real life examples. You will be able to apply your knowledge to a series of projects and scenarios throughout the course.  The ITIL Foundation Certification exam is not included in this course; however, it can be purchased separately.
