Introducing the Self-Paced Online ITIL® V3 Foundation Course

Over the years, Ashford Global IT (AGIT) has been improving its services to make sure that its premium education is available to all. During its earlier years, AGIT began conducting classes on its campus in Orlando, Florida. Then, in an effort to bring more people the best training around, AGIT began offering open-enrollment courses across the U.S.

Taking into account the time constraints and busy work schedules of business professionals, AGIT started delivering virtual instructor-led classes. Now, Ashford Global IT is offering another training style – self-paced online training.

Self-Paced (eLearning) ITIL® V3 Foundation Course

Because the ITIL V3 Foundation class is one of the most popular classes at AGIT, it was chosen to be the first of what is to become a series of self-paced online courses. Through self-paced training, students who couldn’t be part of AGIT’s regular classes or virtual instructor-led classes will have the opportunity to train for their ITIL Foundation Certificate at their own pace.

Students opting for AGIT’s online self-paced Foundation course will be able to:

  • Get high quality training without spending time or money on traveling
  • Continue working without taking any time off for training
  • Learn wherever you go at anytime

What the Course Entails

The self-paced ITIL V3 Foundation course will cover the same material as the live classroom and the virtual instructor-led classes. The following are just some of the learning objectives for the ITIL V3 Foundation course:

  • Identify the principles and concepts of ITSM
  • Identify the advantages of implementing ITIL in a company
  • Identify the Service Management processes and their relationships to the Service Lifecycle
  • Identify concepts, definitions, activities and roles linked to the Service Lifecycle
  • Identify the relationships between components in the Service Lifecycle as well as how the components map to other modules
  • Determine the factors which enhance the efficiency of the Service Lifecycle

Once students enroll in the self-paced ITIL Foundation course, they will have access to the ITIL V3 Foundation course chapters for a period of 20 days. To make the material easier to learn and follow, the chapters are broken into modules. These modules are also the phases of the Service Lifecycle:

  1. Service Strategy
  2. Service Design
  3. Service Transition
  4. Service Operation
  5. Continual Service Improvement

There are no specific prerequisites for this course. However, some familiarity with IT Service Delivery will be helpful.
