ITIL® V3 Release, Control and Validation Certification
There are two Streams in the Intermediate Level of ITIL® V3: the Lifecycle Stream and the Capability Stream. The ITIL V3 Release, Control and Validation (RCV) course is part of the Capability Stream along with three other courses. If you are interested in an Intermediate ITIL V3 Certification, manage Release, Control and Validation processes, or are in charge of implementing IT Service Management programs, this is the course you should take.
For five days, students will have practical application of the ITIL V3 Service Lifecycle and the processes which are linked with the Release, Control and Validation of services and service delivery. Once done with the five-day training, students will be able to perform operational-level process activities knowledgeably. Plus, students will have a better understanding of the supporting methods and approaches in executing these processes.
As it provides practical education to those who take it, a RCV course is quite beneficial to one’s company. When aware of the Release, Control and Validation processes, the staff will be able to implement those processes in a controlled manner that will help the company run its operations smoothly. In addition, with the knowledge of the RCV processes, personnel who are linked with improving their companies’ IT Service Management will benefit their workplaces by implementing ITIL’s best practices into their daily operation, thus cutting down on expenses such as the cost of errors.
During this course, students will become knowledgeable in the following:
- Service Management as a Practice
- Release, Control and Validation Processes and how they interact with other processes across the Service Lifecycle
- Change Management
- Release and Deployment Management
- Service Validation and Testing
- Service Asset and Configuration Management
- Knowledge Management
- Request Fulfillment
- Service Evaluation
- The roles and responsibilities of the staff during RCV
- The technology and implementation considerations that surround RCV
- The risks, challenges and success factors associated with RCV
The RCV Certification Exam will be scheduled on the last day of the course. There is one necessary prerequisite for taking the Exam: an ITIL V3 Foundation Certificate or a combination of an ITIL V2 Foundation Certificate and a V3 Foundation Bridge Certificate. Aside from that, course takers are suggested to have two to four years of professional experience.
The need for constant training and continuous knowledge is imperative, especially when it comes to handling IT Service Management processes. Ashford Global IT realizes this and offers its own ITIL V3 Release, Control and Validation Certification course to help managers and IT professionals operate with ease.
